Deploying CH‑LCD Mobile Signage for 2026 National Day Observance for East Coast GRC
Project type
Deployment
Date
August 2026
Location
Singapore
For the 2026 National Day Observance at Siglap Community Centre, GT Industrial deployed Cholesteric LCD (CH‑LCD) mobile signage panels to support East Coast GRC’s need for rapid, flexible, and energy‑efficient community communication.
These reflective e‑paper‑style displays delivered clear visibility under sunlight, solar‑powered mobility, and dynamic message updates, enabling organisers to guide residents smoothly through the event while projecting National Day messages with clarity and pride.
East Coast GRC needed a communication system that could be deployed quickly, operate reliably outdoors, and deliver multiple types of information throughout the National Day event.
Traditional digital signage posed several constraints:
High power consumption
Limited mobility
Poor visibility under bright sunlight
Slow update cycles for changing messages
Need for cabling or fixed infrastructure
For a community event with high foot traffic, multiple activity zones, and time‑sensitive directions, organisers required a solution that was flexible, portable, and operationally simple.
GT Industrial deployed a fleet of 31.5‑inch CH‑LCD mobile panels, each equipped with:
Solar charging capability
108Wh battery for long runtime
Reflective display for sunlight readability
Wireless connectivity for remote updates
The deployment of CH‑LCD mobile signage at Siglap Community Centre demonstrated how modern reflective LCD technology can transform community events. With solar power, battery mobility, and instant content updates, East Coast GRC gained a communication system that was efficient, sustainable, and highly adaptable.
This case study showcases GT Industrial’s capability to deliver future‑ready digital signage solutions for public events, government agencies, and community organisations.
